"Well...I just came out of SportClips at their Spring Stuebner new location suite 300 in Spring, Houston TX. I received a coupon offering a free haircut for new customers. I normally bring my mom who has short hair and Esthela is her regular stylist at Willowbrook location. Since I moved close to this new location...I decided to give it a try and use a coupon that I was given and treat a good-substantial tip to the person who would do my haircut. To make the story short...after waiting for about 30 minutes...the first stylist told me they would cut my hair without a problem but the assistant manager approached me and told me that since I had long hair they would have to charge me 10 dollars. They stated that they don't make the rules...that this decision comes from corporate, that I should understand that instead of $30 dollars (supposed to be my regular pay without a coupon) I would only pay $10 instead. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE $10 DOLLARS...is about providing a GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE and excellent experience no matter of the gender! Yes...this one was another of the reasons-excuses they game me! Which makes me understand...that if I was a men with long hair...I was going to have my haircut done free of charge. SportClips-spring Stuebner...this is NOT FAIR! Try to be careful when approaching a customer and, mostly, remember you are a new location and EVERY single customer counts. On my end...I will start taking my mom somewhere else...which is sad since she used refuse to be taken anywhere else in Houston. Note: the coupon doesn't state gender, length of hair or any exceptions besides being a new customer-which I was! Sad and really bad taste after leaving this location."

"Long waiting with 4 ladies working and only me and another kid waiting (almost30 minutes). You feel the pressure to give a higher tip than any regular place and they give you several options starting with 5 bucks (more than 20 % in 20$ regular haircut, later 7 and finally 10...come on people! Why you just don't let people decide how much they're gonna tip you) The starting price is already expensive (20$) plus tip... I'm done with this place. There are so many options and competition around....I don't feel the need to go back. A big shame because the place is nearby and convenient location when commuting from work...."

"I have great experiences at this location. Great cuts the way I want it, and a wash to get rid of all the clippings. Dana and Allison are my favorite stylists."

"Sports Clips is my go to place when I’m in a hurry and have a good bit of confidence that I will get a good haircut. With all cheaper salons, it is completely dependent on your stylists, and in my experience they rotate in and out frequently. That being said, I’ve been to this location a couple times, had different stylists each time, and have been happy with the results."
